Concrete Contractors
Serving Central Alabama
Slabs, driveways, and patios engineered to last. We build for skeptical Alabama property owners who demand honest prep work, true reinforcement, and clear pricing.
TIRED OF NO-SHOWS & CRACKED SLABS?
Most cheap crews skip the critical invisible work. They dump wet concrete straight onto raw dirt without grading, skip the gravel base, and skimp on rebar reinforcement. Within two seasons, your investment cracks, settles, and falls apart.
At D1 Concrete, we build our reputation on what you don't see. Proper subgrade preparation, heavy-duty formwork, calculated reinforcement, and perfect curing times are non-negotiable on every single pour.
No base compaction, zero gravel, thin wire mesh, high water mix for fast pouring, and instant disappearance when cracks show up.
Full mechanical subgrade compaction, crushed stone base, structural rebar frames, precise water-cement ratio control, and complete cleanup.
THE D1
POUR-RIGHT
PROCESS
We follow a strict 5-stage structural blueprint on every project. No shortcuts, no deviations, and absolute transparency from evaluation to clean-up.
Site Evaluation & Soil Analysis
We inspect soil stability, grading requirements, water runoff patterns, and potential root intrusion. We never pour over active mud or decaying subgrade.
Excavation, Prep & Grade
Tear-out of failing concrete, excavation to appropriate depth, and heavy-duty mechanical compaction of the sub-base with added aggregate to prevent future settling.
Formwork & Reinforcement
We build rock-solid wooden forms secured by heavy bracing. We lay out full structural steel rebar grids (never flimsy wire mesh) raised on chairs to sit perfectly in the center of the slab.
The Precise Pour & Finish
We coordinate trucks for a continuous, uniform pour. Our team screeds, floats, and trowels to a perfect flat plane, followed by hand-tooled control joints and a clean broom-finish for traction.
Cure & Complete Clean-Up
We apply specialized curing compounds to lock in hydration and maximize PSI strength. Forms are carefully stripped, and the entire site is left completely clean.
STRUCTURAL SERVICES
From residential driveways to massive commercial flatwork. Every project features a strict 200 sq ft minimum up to a 20,000 sq ft maximum capacity.

Concrete Slabs
Slabs engineered for sheds, garages, barn floors, and home additions. Formed, graded, and reinforced to handle heavy machinery and storage loads.

Concrete Driveways
Complete excavation of cracked, root-damaged driveways. Restored with proper drainage slope, heavy steel, and a durable broom finish.

Concrete Patios
Premium, solid-pour backyard patios built for entertainment. Clean edges, perfect leveling, and durable finishes designed for Alabama weather.

Sidewalks & Walkways
Precise pedestrian concrete paths linking structures. Formed with clean curvature, safe grades, and structural control joints.

Retaining Walls
Heavy-duty poured concrete walls engineered for soil stabilization and drainage control. Built to handle hydrostatic pressure permanently.

Commercial Concrete
High-PSI concrete slabs, parking areas, and flatwork for Alabama commercial properties, warehouses, and developments.
Please Note: We specialize exclusively in structural solid-pour concrete. We do NOT offer pavers, decorative stamped, or stained concrete.
COST
EXPECTATIONS
We believe in "They Ask, You Answer" transparency. Concrete pricing shouldn't be a mystery. While final numbers depend on grading, access, and thickness, these typical ranges provide an honest baseline.
• Absolute Minimum: 200 sq ft
• Maximum Capacity: 20,000 sq ft
Projects outside this range do not meet our mobilization requirements.
Ranges reflect typical Central Alabama site conditions and current material and labor costs. Your firm number always comes from a free on-site evaluation and written quote.
PROOF, DOCUMENTED —
NEVER STAGED
We photograph and log every pour: scope, square footage, thickness, base depth, and reinforcement. As completed D1 projects are verified, they're published to our case studies — with real photos and real numbers.
Until then, this section stays honest: no stock photos passed off as our work, no invented projects, no simulated ratings. Ever.
- • Before, during, and after photos from the actual job site
- • City, project type, and true square footage
- • Slab thickness, base depth, and reinforcement used
- • The problem the owner hired us to solve
